All of the rule changes that were voted on during the meeting
at finals passed.
The new rule will be added to the finals will state
MKYRA contestants will only take their top 16 scores per
event to count towards finals and year end awards however a contestant may participate in as many MKYRA sanctioned rodeos
The new part of the mutton busting rule will state:
Sheep are to be drawn.
The new part of the barrel and pole rule will state:
Ground conditions permitting the barrel pattern will be
raked at the start of each age division and after every seven contestants.
Ground conditions permitting the pole pattern will be raked

The MKYRA secretary will be taking memberships for the
2012 season. Please have your paperwork ready, notorized, signed by parents,
and three copies. If you are not able to print the membership forms from the
website there will be forms at the table for you. If you are in the senior division(ages
14-19) please have a copy of your grade card attatched. If you are home schooled
I will need a copy of your grades to date along with a letter stating that you are home schooled.
**NEW MEMBERS**- Please bring a copy of your birth certificate. If you are in the senior division I will need a copy of your grade card.
**REMEMBER**-Memberships must be paid BEFORE the rodeo
starts. If your membership paperwork and dues are not paid before the rodeo starts
you will not receive points for that rodeo.
**NEW INFORMATION**-Membership dues are $113.00. Raffle tickets are no longer a part of your membership dues. Each member will be required to sell $50.00 in raffle tickets for the 2012 season, this will be one part
of the qualification for finals. All ticket stubs and money will need to be turned
in by a date To Be Announced.
**During the 2012 rodeo season members will pay an additional
office fee of $3.00 at each rodeo they compete at.
MO-KAN Youth Rodeo Association Board meetings will be held
on the first Tuesday of the month at the Pizza Hut located in Harrisonville, MO at 6:30p.m.
